What We Collect
“Personal information” means any information by which you may be personally identified. Our system uses your Oculus handle to identify you and create an account to track your chip balance. We log your IP address. By logging your IP address, you consent to us recording your approximate location.
In order for our services to function, we create a permanent account on our server that logs every action while you use MetaTable. We do not record sensor movement. We may record audio but we don't at the moment. An action is joining a table, purchasing an item or chips, or making a decision in a game. MetaTable owns this log of your activity. We retain the right to use log files of your activity for any purpose in the future. Because your MetaTable account is created through your Oculus login, be mindful that the Oculus platform could link your actions on MetaTable to your person in the future.

“Sensor Information” from you runs through our network. By agreeing to this policy you grant us full access to your sensor information. We do not store sensor information or audio on our servers but it does pass through our network, therefore, you must be very carful about what you say and do in virtual reality. As soon as you join a MetaTable game, your microphone will be activated and everything you do and say will be transmitted to every player in the room. See below for live feeds as this affects you!

When you play MetaTable, we collect personal information about your actions in the game including your handle, how long you have played, how many hands you have played, and how many hands and folds you have initiated.

By playing MetaTable Poker, you consent to your handle and score being listed on a public leaderboard.

Information from Third Party Game Platforms. We may automatically receive your personal information from the platform through which you downloaded and play the Game. Personal Information collected by the third-party platform that you use to access the Game is subject to the applicable third-party terms of use and/or privacy policy. For more information, please see the Oculus Privacy Policy.

Revealing personal information through the Game. You may choose to reveal personal information in the Game through multiplayer chat or other public functions, including through your username, to the extent it contains personal information. In addition to being accessible to other users of the Game with whom you are interacting, we may also capture this information using recording functions that we use to monitor users’ activity in the game. We cannot control how other users will use personal information that you reveal using multiplayer chat or other public functions, so, if you reveal personal information through multiplayer chat or other public functions, you are doing so at your own risk. Similarly, users must not create a username that reflects their own real name or reveals personal information. If you include personal information in your display name, you are doing so at your own risk.

Our use of your personal information is further described in the “How We Use Your Information” section below.

If you send us or one of our representatives an email or otherwise correspond with us directly, we will have access to any information that you provide to us in such correspondence. The Terms also govern our use of and ownership of information that you provide to us in direct communications.

Security
All information that you provide to us is stored on secured servers located in the United States of America using firewalls. When you directly provide us with personal information, including through registration, we will encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology or similar technologies.

How We Use Your Information
We may retain data collected from you, including personal information, to support customer service inquiries and prevent repeated violations or suspected violations of these Terms if your account has been banned or your access to the Services has been disabled for any reason. Additionally, content that you create and share publicly with the MetaTable will be retained by us and may be accessible to other users of MetaTable, even after you stop using the Services. We may retain your information for as long as is necessary and relevant to your use of the Services and our operations, which may include retaining your information beyond the end of your use of the Services. The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through the Services. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures used in the Services.
